is required to play the Ace of hearts. A misdeal in a cards
game is an error by the dealer which calls for a re-deal; we may call it a penalty.

When the suit is not trump, the marriage is worth 20 points.
Unsuited Kings and Queens cannot be married (for example, the King of Hearts cannot be married to the Queen of
Diamonds). Melding is an essential part of Pinochle,
and it is important to optimize your meld combinations for maximum point value.

meld. Although the meld is laid down, the cards in the meld can be played into a trick

Pinochle are played with two people, a three-player game can be accommodated with some
slight tweaking. For three players, deal 18 cards to each player instead of the standard
